GENDERCIDE

Gendercide is a neologism that refers to the systematic killing of members of a specific sex.

ANTI-BULLYING

Bullying is a form of discrimination and should not be tolerated.  It can occur on the playground, in school, at work or at home. Collectively we need to take a stand against bullying.  Below are valuable resources to organizations that are providing wonderful tools and help.  Take a look through and lets bring an end to bullying.

	Stop A Bully	for anonymous reporting of bullying at a school
	Kids Help Phone	Anonymous phone & web counseling for 20 and under.
	Red Cross	Resources for students are available through the Kids Help Phone 1 800 668-6868
	Youth In BC	A program of the Crisis Centre. It connects youth with support, information and resources. Part of the Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention Centre of British Columbia
	Deal	Provides a monthly magazine and digital library to help overcome obstacles in personal, family and community life
	Pink Shirt Day	Awareness campaign on bullying.
	BC Ministry of Education	For parents to understand bullying behaviour. This includes 'Keeping Kids Safe', a guide for parents in grades K-12 and 'Internet Safety Tips for Parents'. All guides are available in multiple languages.
